Hazel L. (Hart) Cox

Hazel L. (Hart) Cox, 93, of Ash Grove, passed away, May 13, 2019.
Cox was the daughter of Ora H. and Edna Marie (Mason) Hart and was born in Lawrence County, June 21, 1925. In 1943, Hazel and Earnie H. Cox were married and shared over 45 years together, before his passing in 1988. Cox was a life-long area resident. She was saved at a young age at Pilgrim Rest and was a member of Ash Grove First Baptist Church. She worked as a nursing home aide and sold Avon for several years.
Cox is survived by: children, Don (Linda) Cox of Springfield, Pat (Jim) Killingsworth of Ash Grove, Earnita (John) Shuler of Marshfield, Larry (Debbie) Cox of Ash Grove; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of family. Cox was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Earnie; daughter, Louretta Hall; a great-great grandson; and brother, Onas Elvin Hart.
Funeral services were held May 17, 2019, at the funeral home, with burial that followed at Ash Grove Cemetery in Ash Grove. Memorials may be made to Missouri Baptist Children’s Home or Ash Grove Healthcare Facility Auxiliary and may be left at the funeral home.
