George Coleman Railsback

George Coleman Railsback, 85, of Pierce City, passed away Aug. 19, 2020 at his home in Pierce City. Railsback was born in McClain, Texas, July 8, 1935 to John and Texola Railsback. He graduated from McClain High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1953-1956 and was stationed at Camp Pendleton and in Korea. Railsback attended college at Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. He married Lue Todd in 1987 in Amarillo, Texas. They moved to Pierce City in 1992. Railsback was a cattle rancher & chicken producer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pierce City.
Surviving are the following: his wife, of the home; son, Rex (Laura) Reynolds of Pierce City; daughters, Susie Tiffin of Amarillo, Texas and Nancy Wood of Plainview, Texas; sister, Marge Garner of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: son, Jeff Railsback; an infant grandchild; sister, Lavoy Railsback; and parents, John and Texola Railsback.
Memorial services were held Aug. 21, 2020. Burial will be at a later date at Pierce City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Pierce City. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.lakinfuneralhome.com.
