Geneva M. Probstfield

Geneva M. Probstfield, age 92, of Verona, Missouri, passed away at 3:19 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at the Lacoba Nursing Home, in Monett, Missouri.  She was born July 17, 1928, in Verona, the daughter of Ernest and Della (Sullwold) Bacher.
Geneva was a 1946 graduate of Verona High School.  She was a charter member of the Tillers and Toilers Garden Club, a 4-H leader for 25 years and a longtime supporter of the Verona Booster Club.  She served as an election judge for many years and was a member of the Verona Baptist Church for 40 years.
On April 19, 1954, she married Lawrence Probstfield, in Verona.  He preceded her in death on September 14, 2004.
Geneva is survived by her son, Randy Probstfield of Verona; her daughter, Rita Johnson and her husband, Brad, of Strafford, Missouri; three grandchildren, Hannah Bollenbach and her husband, David, of Clever, Missouri, Kelsey Johnson and Jacob Johnson both of Springfield, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Jordan Bollenbach, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Della, husband, Lawrence, and her brother, Raymond Bacher.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, Missouri.  Out of respect for the health and safety of Geneva’s many friends and loved ones, the service is limited to family/extended family members.  A private family burial will be held at the Lee Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made payable to the Verona Baptist Church Food Pantry, in care of the funeral home.
