GARY WENDELL HARRIS

Gary Wendell Harris, 83, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, July 24, 2024, while at his home. Gary was born on March 3, 1941, in Purdy, Missouri; the son of the late J.H. “Dick” and Dimple (Hughey) Harris.
On October 5, 1962 in Sarcoxie, Missouri, Gary married Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Chandler. To this union, they were blessed with three children.
Gary is survived by one daughter, Terri Garrison, of Purdy; two sons, Rick Harris and wife Rhonda and Brian Harris, all of Purdy; three grandchildren, Jake Harris, Andy Harris and wife Kaylynn, all of Purdy and Kindra Eden and husband Kelbe, of Cassville; seven great-grandchildren, Asher, Moriah, Titus and Matthias Eden and Elliot, Canaan and Truman Harris.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; Dick and Dimple Harris; his wife, Beth Harris; one son-in-law, Daniel Garrison; and two brothers, Leroy and Fred Harris.
Gary enjoyed many things in his life, but he dearly loved the Lord, his grandkids, woodworking and restoring old clocks and tractors.
Services were held at the Harris Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Gideon’s International in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
