Frank R. Stark

Frank R. Stark, 87, passed away June 23, 2019, surrounded by his family. Stark was born Sept. 18, 1931 to Frank W. Stark and Pearl H. Gray Stark.He received the Life Beautiful Service award from SBU in 1981. He was honored to serve as pastor at First Baptist of Strafford for nearly 20 years. He was the chaplain for ARCA for 10 years. He was the founder of Frank Stark Raceway Ministries and the Come As You Are Truck Stop Ministry. He was a member of Harvest Hill Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, his family, fast cars, and slow tractors.
Stark is survived by: his wife of 67 years, Betty L. Stark; daughter Stephanie Marsh of Kissimmee, Fla., Sara (Richard) Campbell of Strafford, Sandra (Keith) Perkins of Chattanooga, Tenn.; sister Virginia Salchow of Springfield; brother Charles (Betty) A. Stark of Republic; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Frank W. Stark and Pearl H. Gray Stark and his brother, Gaylord W. Stark.
Funeral services were held June 28, 2019 at Second Baptist Church. Burial followed at Marionville IOOF Cemetery. In keeping with Frank’s love of fast cars and slow tractors, memorials may be made in his honor to National Fellowship of Raceway Ministries (330 W. Aviation Rd, Statesville, NC 28677), Harvest Hill Baptist Church Building Fund (101 E. Evergreen St., Strafford, MO), or Ozarks Steam Engine Association (2173 Lakeview Drive, Brookline, MO 65619).
