Evelyn Maxine Nelson

Evelyn Maxine Nelson, 93, of Carthage, passed away May 17, 2019, at her home. She was born July 9, 1926, in Cassville, to the late Lee Bowers and Esther (Ennis) Bowers. She married Roland Olson Nelson in 1945, in Bentonville, Ark.; he preceded her in death in 2009. She was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Pointe Assembly of God in Carthage.
Survivors include: daughters, Linda (John) Pickering and Judy Fullerton both of Carthage; sons, Dean (Lassie) Nelson of Ozark and Gene (Paula) Nelson of Honey Brook, Pa.; brothers, Carroll Bowers of Stotts City and Ferrell (Kay) Bowers of Carthage; sister, Doris Henbest of Butterfield; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and brother, Jerrell Bowers.
Graveside funeral services were held May 21, 2019, at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville. Arrangements were under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
