Elmer Robert Lindeman

Elmer Robert Lindeman, 87, of Aurora, passed away May 20, 2020, at his home. He was born March 23, 1933, in West Plains, to John and Ella (Mueller) Lindeman.
Lindeman was a 1951 graduate of West Plains High School and was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired after 35 years from Contel Phone Company. He was member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Aurora, where he was a very active member. In 1959, he married Margaret Lucille Evans, in West Plains. She preceded him in death in 2016, after enjoying 57 years together.
He is survived by: sons, Bob (Denise) Lindeman of Wheaton, Mark (Tami) Lindeman and Tim (Tina) Lindeman all of Aurora; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Erma (Jim) Brown of Springfield; sister-in-law, Edna (Bill) Beasley of Houston and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Margaret; brother, Don (Carol) Lindeman; sister, Velma (Harvey) Ramey and nephew, Kevin Lindeman.
A private family service under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, was held May 23, 2020, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Aurora. A graveside service followed at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Memorials may be made payable to the Grace Lutheran Church, in care of the funeral home.
