Edward Daniel Lyon

Edward Daniel “Ed” Lyon, 90, of Billings, passed away Jan. 10, 2019, in Mercy Hospital Aurora. He was born April 25, 1928, in Monroe, N.Y., to the late Daniel Frances and Dorothy (Davis) Lyon.
Lyon was married to Ellen Caroline Willard in 1950, and they enjoyed 46 years of marriage before she passed away in 1996. He served his country in the Merchant Marines during World War II, and the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Lyon was employed as an electrician with Empire Electric (now Liberty Utilities). He enjoyed working on his farm, working and building things, and enjoyed politics. He was a jack of all trades, and good at all of them.
He is survived by: son, Reginald (Belinda) Lyon; daughter, Deborah (Henry) Bos; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret; a special friend, Anora; and many other relatives and friends.
There was a private visitation and burial that followed in Mt. Olive Cemetery in McKinley, Jan. 15, 2019, under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home. Family and friends may share online condolences on this website, at www.meadorsfuneralhome.com.
