Donald Boatright Coyne

Donald Boatright Coyne was born Dec. 8, 1945 in Pryor, Okla. to Roscoe R.. and Lydia Evelyn (Boatright) Coyne. He passed away Oct. 5, 2019 in Lawrence County at the Aurora Nursing Center.
He retired from the United States Air Force, while stationed at Edwards Air Force Base in California, after 20 years of service. During his years in the U.S.A.F., he maintained a duel career of Evangelistic ministry. He ministered under tents in El Paso, Texas during his stay at Holeman U.S.A.F. base in New Mexico and Edwards U.S.A.F. base in California as well as traveling to churches in other states to minister the Gospel. After retiring in 1991 he came to Missouri and in 1992 began his pastor at The Lord’s House Church in Aurora. After 23 years he retired.
He was faithfully attending the Madry Christian Union Church. He loved sports and he participated in various sports during his High School years at Pierce City and while in the military.
He is survived by: wife Betty M. (Daniel) Coyne; sister Carol L. (Finn) Newland of Heath, Ohio; daughters Lisa Ann (Steve) Acord of Altus, Ark.; and Donell Jennifer (Pat) Headley of Mojave, Calif.; and two granddaughters. Coyne was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers Russell and Ronald Coyne; sister Coleen (Coyne) Smith; and infant son.
Visitation will be held Wednesday Oct. 9, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Funeral services will be held Thursday Oct. 10, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett. Burial will follow services at the Calton Cemetery in Pleasant Ridge. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
