David Roy Crappel

David Roy Crappel, Sr., 58, of Sarcoxie, passed away Sept. 3, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Crappel was born Jan. 5, 1960, in New Orleans, La., to the late Aubrey and Nina (Smith) Crappel. He was employed for several years in paint sales with Devo Paint and later with Tyson Foods in Monett. The majority of his life he lived in Louisiana and later moved to Sarcoxie.
Crappel is survived by: his children David (Lauren) Roy Crappel Jr., Ashley Marie (Justin Cloud) Crappel, all of Marrero, La.; sister Brenda Crappel of Sarcoxie; step-siblings Donald Winstead, Lawrence (Debbie) Winstead and Michelle (Ricki) Thompson; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother Earl Steven Crappel; sisters Mary J. Redmond and Sharon L. Miller.
