David J. Basye

David J. Basye, 52, of Webb City, passed away Jan. 2, 2019. He was born Sept. 13, 1966, in Great Bend Kan., to James and Eileen (Demel) Basye. He was a 1984 Cassville High School graduate where he excelled in football. Basye served his country proudly in the United States Navy. In 1993, he was married to Sheila Brownsberger. Basye was employed with Dyno Nobel for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Basye loved spending time with family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Basye was a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine in Springfield, Masonic Lodge of Carthage, and V.F.W. Post #2590.
Additional survivors include: son, Alec (Alexis) Basye of Webb City; daughters, Brooke Basye, of Buffalo, Iowa, and Megan Basye, of Webb City; brothers, Daniel (Kayla) Basye of Jenkins and Daryl (Kari) Basye of Inverness, Fla.; sister, Diana (Mark) Walters of Mt. Vernon; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Jan. 9, 2019, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville. Burial with full military honors followed at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville.
