Danny Lou Boman

Danny Lou Boman, 84, of Pierce City, passed away June 4, 2020. Boman was born in Pierce City, Sept. 14, 1935 to Joseph and Lena (Mettlach) Boman. Boman was a twin to his sister Anna Maude. He graduated from Pierce City High School and married Carolyn Jane Palmer in 1957. His carpentry career spanned five decades, during which he built his own business, Boman Construction, and hundreds of homes and businesses in the Pierce City/Monett area.
Boman was a lifelong, active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City. He spent much of his spare time constructing and maintaining the buildings on the church grounds.
Survivors include: wife Carolyn Boman; children, Danny (Frances) Boman, Tami (Doug) Gripka, Tootie (Tom) Knott, Joe (Pam) Boman, Jill (Mike) Kaiser and Jennifer Brown, all of Pierce City; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Margie Lang of New Haven Conn.; and twin sister, Anna Maude Edie of Rogers Ark.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; four brothers; three sisters; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
A visitation was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City. Prayer service and rosary followed. Funeral services was at St. Mary’s Church in Pierce City June 8. Burial was in the St. Mary’s Church cemetery. Arrangements were by Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
