Corey Douglas Jones

Corey Douglas Jones, 37, of Monett, passed away suddenly March 15, 2019, following a tragic accident near Stotts City.
Jones was born Feb. 7, 1982, in Springfield, to Biff and Vicki (Finn) Jones. He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School with the class of 2000 and was currently working as a salesman at Sears Hometown in Cassville. He enjoyed many things in life including MMA, listening to music, working on cars, watching the Carolina Panthers and the Chicago White Sox. However, what Jones loved the most was spending time with his son, Jackson. Jones had a great artistic ability. He believed in his faith and was saved in the Church of Christ as a child.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Jackson Jones; girlfriend, Rhonda Danforth, of Monett; father, Biff (Karon) Jones of Aurora; mother, Vicki Norris, of Monett; brother, Shelby Jones, of Monett; sister, Whitney Jones, of Mt. Vernon; grandmother, Dorothy Jones, of Monett; as well as a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Billie F. Jones; and his maternal grandparents, Winford and Marney Norwood.
 Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. March 21, 2019, at Buchanan Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Jackson Jones in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
