Cope out, Bluel in at Southwest Research Center

Reagan Bluel has been named the interim superintendent of the University of Missouri’s Southwest Research Center, Mt. Vernon, replacing now former superintendent David Cope.
Bluel, a field specialist in dairy for MU Extension in Barry County, earned her bachelor’s degree in animal sciences and her master’s degree in ruminant nutrition from the University of Missouri. She has served in her dairy specialist role since 2014.
Along with serving as the interim superintendent of the Southwest Research Center, Reagan will continue her duties as a field specialist in dairy for MU Extension. Her appointment was effective Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020.
No word yet on details surrounding Cope’s departure. Cope had held the superintendent’s position for the last six years.
