Colley husband, wife die in apparent double suicide, autopsies pending

Lawrence County authorities were called out to western Lawrence County the morning of Monday, July 10, upon the discovery of two deceased bodies at a residence on Lawrence County 1040.
Although the incident is still under investigation, detectives believe that Robert Colley, 50, and Trisha Colley, 49, each died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
Sgt. Melissa Phillips with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office said autopsies, which will be done by Southwest Missouri Forensics, out of Ozark, will be conducted next week. Phillips added that it does not appear suspicious and there is no threat to the community.
