Claudene Helen McCully

Claudene Helen McCully, 81, of Aurora, passed away Feb. 3, 2019, in her home. She was born Oct. 5, 1937, in Aurora, to Charles Floyd and Ella Emma (Farmer) Willard.
She was a 1955 graduate of Marionville High School. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. McCallum in Aurora and was an in home aide with Oxford and Integrity Home Health. She was an avid bowler and bowled in the Women’s League in Aurora, was a member of the Twirl About Square Dancing Club and of the Church of Christ in Mt. Vernon. In 1956, she married Frank McCully. He preceded her in death in 2012.
McCully is survived by: sons, Franklin David McCully and Mark (Tina) McCully of Aurora; four grandchildren; sister, Frances Newton of Gardner, Kan.; and a host of family. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; brothers, Walter, Charles and Robert Willard; sisters, Lucille Morrow, Evelyn Hunt, Ellen Lyon and Arlene Gardner.
A funeral service was held Feb. 8, 2019, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora with burial that followed at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
