Work is well underway on new restrooms being built at Mt. Vernon’s Spirit of ’76 Park. In mid-January, the dilapidated old restroom structure was removed to make way for this new build, which will cost $236,985—the lowest bid—and should be completed this month. Sprouls Construction Inc. was awarded the contract following their bid. For park guests in the meantime, eight portable toilets have been placed in the parking lot. (Photo by Ryan Squibb)
