Charles Arthur Lee

Charles Arthur Lee, 76, of Wentworth, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. He was born in Aurora, on Saturday, Aug. 13, 1949; son of Oscar and Venita (Royster) Lee. He married Linda Masters on Friday, Feb. 18, 1966, in Miller. Charles and Linda spent 60 years loving each other and creating a wonderful family that continues to grow.
 
He retired from ConAgra after working many years as a turkey farm manager. He collected die-cast cars, enjoyed talking on CB's, looked forward to putting up Christmas tree lights each year, enjoyed watching westerns, and spent time hunting deer. He loved his family so much and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and kids whether watching them play, talking with them or enjoying a family barbecue. He also loved his dog, Panda, who often greeted him when he returned home each time. 
 
Surviving are his wife, Linda; four sons, Chuck Lee of Pierce City; Carlan Lee (Johnna Plybon) of Mt. Vernon; Landon Lee (Shauna Cunningham) of Diamond;  Kyle Lee (Chelsea Southard) of Mt. Vernon; daughter-in-law, Crystal Lee of Wentworth; son-in-law, Johnny Garrison of Sarcoxie; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Lee, Tom Lee, and Floyd Lee; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
 
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Venita Lee; two children, Gerald Ray Lee and Jana Garrison; and five siblings, Henry Lee, Charlie "Coon" Lee, Frank Lee, Charlene Thomas and Retha Swatosh.
 
Graveside services were at Union Cemetery in Stotts City, on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, beginning at 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
