Carolyn Sue Wise

Carolyn Sue Wise, 88, of Aurora passed away on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at Oak Pointe of Monett. She was born Feb. 21, 1937, in Republic, the daughter of Russell and Bernice (Davis) Bassore.
She was a 1955 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon. She worked as a cook for the Aurora School District.
On July 8, 1957, she was united in marriage with John Wesley Wise in San Antonio, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2025.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kim (Terry) Bagby, of Aurora; Sally Jessee, of Aurora; and Lori (David) Tegarden of Springfield; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell, and Bernice; two brothers, Don, and Bill Bassore; four sisters, Virginia Richardson, Pat Neely, Bobby Pruente and Mary Ruth Powell and son-in-law, Herb Jessee.
A graveside service under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, at Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
