Caraway named executive director of Monett Chamber

The Monett Area Chamber of Commerce announced Cheryl Caraway as its new executive director. Caraway officially began her new role on Monday, Aug. 24.
Caraway will work alongside Interim Executive Director Suzy McElmurry during the transition and training period to ensure a smooth handoff and continued support for chamber members and the Monett business community.
A longtime Monett resident and active member of the community, Caraway brings a strong background in building relationships, organization, project coordination, event planning, and community service to the position. She has not previously served on the chamber board. 
“I am incredibly humbled and honored to have the opportunity to serve the Monett community in this capacity,” Caraway said. “I am excited to meet more of the people who make Monett what it is, to learn from our community, and to work together toward a strong future for Monett.”
As executive director, Caraway will oversee the day-to-day operations of the chamber, work with chamber members and community partners, and help advance the chamber's mission of supporting and promoting the Monett area business community.
