Bettie Jeane Brandt, 91

Bettie Jeane Brandt, 91, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Sept. 24, 2018, at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon. She was born Feb. 9, 1927, in Hoberg, to Sam and Lyda (Phillips) Smith.
Brandt was a homemaker and member of the Free Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon. In 1946, she married Everett Bagwell in Mt. Vernon. He preceded her in death in 1973.
Brandt is survived by: her daughter Carol (Darrel) Roll of Mt. Vernon; sisters Shirley (Carswell) Wynne of Werner Robins, Ga. and Connie Misemer (Billy) of Mt. Vernon; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Terry Bagwell; the father of her children, Everett Bagwell; and husbands, Earl York and Newman Brandt.
A graveside service, under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon was held Sept. 27, 2018, at the Maple Grove Cemetery, southwest of Mt. Vernon. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
