Armed robbery attempt at Stop N’ Shop

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed an attempted armed robbery took place the evening of Oct. 28, at Stop N’ Shop just outside Mt. Vernon.
The details of the crime have not yet been released are under investigation. More information will follow in next week’s issue.
