Mt. Vernon square sees elbow-to-elbow attendance for much of annual fall festival showcase
Despite nearly three inches of rain prior to opening day, last weekend’s 53rd Annual Apple Butter Makin’ Days was a booming success. Following a chilly start on Friday, the following two days were ideal fall weather, and likely had a hand in enticing the more than 90,000 who attended.
“That was one of the best, if not the best festivals, not only because of the fun we had as a committee, but also because the crafters had such a fun weekend. It was truly a great weekend,” said Apple Butter Makin’ Days chairman Mike Tebow.
