The Big 8 Conference has released their 2025-26 All-Conference boys basketball teams and three schools led with three players chosen: East Newton, Nevada and Mt. Vernon. Lamar had two players selected and Aurora, Cassville, McDonald County and Monett each had one player selected.
The 2025-26 high school basketball season have come to end for the boys and girls teams of Aurora after both teams fell in their district tournament last week.
The Monett High School boys basketball team traveled to Nevada last week to take part in the Class 4, District 12 Tournament winning their opening round game but falling in the semifinals.
The Mt. Vernon High School boys basketball team traveled to Nevada last week to take part in the Class 4, District 12 tournament, coming home with a second place finish.
On Saturday, March 7, the Mt’neers lost to Nevada in the district tournament championship game, 59-42.
